Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jouni Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alain The Blade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Blade has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alain The Blade!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Blade tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lewis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten The Blade somewhat.
Lewis lands a glancing blow to the side of The Blade's head.
The Blade looks gassed!
Lewis connects with the punch.
Lewis throws a lazy right hand but The Blade sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lewis scores with a jab to the body.

Lewis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A right hand to the body from Lewis.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The Blade keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lewis's efforts to push away.
Lewis could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lewis manages to break the clinch.
The Blade ducks straight into an uppercut from Lewis and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - The Blade manages to regain guard straight away.
The Blade is rocked!
Lewis wants to get up but he can't break The Blade's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The Blade wants to sweep here but Lewis controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lewis stands and steps away. The Blade gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Lewis moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Lewis connects with a single shot there.
Lewis lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The Blade is still on wobbly legs! Can Lewis finish him?
Lewis lands an uppercut out of nowhere! The Blade falls backwards - clearly groggy! Lewis dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jouni Lewis!
