Chuck Johnson struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a two punch combination.
Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
Johnson misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Richer counters with a left to the body.
Johnson looks gassed!
Johnson looks to land a combination but Richer avoids it well.
Richer lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Richer.

and Richer counters with a shoot takedown. Johnson fights it but they end up in guard.

Richer stands up from Johnson's guard - Richer perhaps looking for a knockout.

Richer tries a head kick but it misses.
Johnson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Richer was well out of range. Poor timing from Johnson.
Richer scores with a one two! Johnson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Richer throws out a loose jab but Johnson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Richer slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Richer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Richer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Richer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Johnson is looking to stand up but Richer isn't so interested in that idea.

Richer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Johnson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Johnson is trying to stand and escape. In the scramble, Richer has locked hold of an arm and he's managed to lock on an armbar - Johnson taps out instantly and this one is all over!
