Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yogi Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Greywar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yogi Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Greywar!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greywar scores with a nice strike.
That kick from Greywar tenderised Bear's leg. Bear is trying to keep his angry face on.
Bear misses with a lunging right hand
and Greywar makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Greywar.

Bear gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Greywar.
Bear falls off balance throwing a combination
and Greywar makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bear shoots in and drives through. Greywar sprawls well.
Bear throws a left and a right that both miss
and Greywar counters with a straight right hand.
Greywar lands with a nice body kick.
Greywar bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Greywar takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Yogi Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bear shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Greywar but Greywar pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fight stays on the outside here - Greywar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bear fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Greywar avoids it really well and circles away.

Bear takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Bear closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bear lands in his opponent's guard.
Bear might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bear wants to control from the top but Greywar keeps moving.
Greywar controls Bear momentarily but Bear frees himself.
Bear stays in close to Greywar's body and controls the position.
Greywar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Greywar wants to sweep here but Bear controlling him for the moment.
Greywar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Greywar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mike Greywar dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


The fighters circling - Bear throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Greywar counters with a head kick. That will keep Bear thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Bear throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Greywar bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bear's head backwards.

and Greywar makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Bear really felt that one!
Mike Greywar seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bear ducks right into an uppercut from Greywar.
Greywar has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Some bone on bone action there as Greywar checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Greywar fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Bear shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Greywar sprawls well. Greywar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bear gets slowly back to his feet.

Bear is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Greywar's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Greywar lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Bear tries for a takedown but Greywar manages to get underhooks.
Greywar tries to land knees in the clinch but Bear avoids the damage to the body.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bear attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

and Greywar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bear throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Greywar's waist but Greywar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bear off to one side.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bear lands a nice shot that snaps Greywar's head back.
Bear throws a big shot that misses.
Greywar lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Bear changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Greywar tries to avoid it but Bear manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Greywar to the ground. Greywar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
