Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Borge Bay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Fire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Borge Bay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Fire! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fire has Bay up against the cage in a clinch.
Fire with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Fire looking for a takedown. Bay has Fire pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fire manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Fire pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Fire leaves Bay with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Fire gets tackled into the cage by Bay. Bay maintains the clinch. Fire misses with the head strike.
Bay manages to pull guard.
Bay has his hands on Fire's head, controlling the position. Bay is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fire defends well. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bay is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bay is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Fire keeping moving, preventing Bay from controlling successfully. Bay controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Bay drops back, looking for a kneebar! Fire looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Fire looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Fire! Fire decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fire tries a head kick but it misses.
Bay gets in close and instigates a clinch. Fire escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bay is defended easily by Fire. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Borge Bay. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fire shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bay but Bay pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bay gets a clinch. Fire throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bay pressing his opponent against the cage. Bay pulls Fire into guard.
Fire would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Bay not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bay working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Fire has passed into half guard!
Bay is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fire decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Bay throws out a leg kick but Fire moves out of range and Bay only half commits.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bay swats away the attempt to clinch by Fire. Bay darts in and clinches Fire up against the cage. Fire escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bay moves into the clinch successfully.
Bay keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Fire's efforts to push away. Fire is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Bay drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fire pulls his leg out and moves away.
Fire tries to clinch but Bay moves out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fire thows a leg kick but Bay checks it and Bay counters with a big head kick but Fire shrugs it off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Borge Bay dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Fire closes the distance and clinches. Fire wants a takedown but no success here.
Bay tries to circle away but Fire has him pinned against the cage. Fire breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bay shoots in looking for a takedown. Fire tries to sprawl out of it but Bay keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fire manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fire moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Borge Bay is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bay looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fire is fending him off so far but Bay persists. Nope, Fire circles away and we're back to standing. Bay clinches up against the cage. Bay lands an elbow inside. Fire manages to break the clinch.
Bay feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Fire's calf. Bay keeps the fight on the outside. Bay has managed to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Fire tries for a takedown. No joy.
Bay has Fire pressed against the cage.
Fire wants to stall.
Fire is breathing heavily. Bay tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fire just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Borge Bay. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fire gets underhooks to prevent Bay's takedown attempt.
Fire avoiding damage.
Bay tries to pull guard but Fire won't allow it.
Fire lands with a light punch inside. Fire is trying to drag Bay to the mat but Bay just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Bay breaks the clinch.
Bay shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bay changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fire tries to avoid it but Bay manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fire to the ground. Fire escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fire misses with a combination
and Bay counters with a nice double leg into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Bay has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fire is proving hard to escape from. Fire seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Fire is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Bay stalls. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Bay as Fire tries to tie him up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bay has clasped his hands together around Fire's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fire can do anything to dispel that myth. Fire is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Bay thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Fire tries to get back to half guard but can't. Bay wants to control but Fire is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bay has knee on belly and moves into mount. Fire can't escape the position.
Bay looking to control and managing it successfully. Fire tries to improve his position but instead Bay has taken his back! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bay wants to control but Fire is keeping busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Borge Bay dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Bay circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bay throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fire sees it coming and avoids it easily. Bay throws out a loose jab but Fire uses good head movement to avoid it. Fire drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Bay working a defensive guard but Fire passes into half guard.
Bay flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Bay is trying to maintain the position but Fire is very close to passing his half guard. Bay is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Fire seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bay makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bay. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bay had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fire defends it easily. Fire must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bay manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fire manages to get himself to full guard.
Bay stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fire swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bay with a flurry of punches that miss. Fire looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bay is one step ahead there. Bay wants to control from the top but Fire keeps moving. Bay wanted to stand there but Fire had control of the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Fire is trying to keep Bay in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fire has his hands on Bay's head, controlling the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bay closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Bay pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bay shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fire but Fire pushes him off and we're back to square one. Tommy Fire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fire closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bay's guard. Fire really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bay not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fire won't allow Bay to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fire is looking to stand up but Bay won't let him. Bay wants to control but Fire passes easily into half guard.
Fire decides to return to a standing position. Bay throws a head kick that half lands.
Fire doesn't manage to clinch there - Bay circles away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fire fails to land with a series of punches.
Bay forces Fire back against the cage and clinches. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bay tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fire smiles and moves away.
Bay blocks a head kick by Fire.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Borge Bay. Well Bay has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
