PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brian Mulroney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Payne is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Curtis Payne!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mulroney avoids the body shot from Payne.
Payne throws out a loose jab but Mulroney uses good head movement to avoid it.
Payne tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mulroney was well out of range. Poor timing from Payne.
Payne thows a body shot but no joy.
Payne throws a body punch but Mulroney moves out of range.
Payne lands with a right hand.
A jab from Mulroney does it's job there.


It looks like Curtis Payne has been cut.

Mulroney is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Payne.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brian Mulroney.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mulroney, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
