Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nameless One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iokua Mikala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Iokua Mikala!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikala throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
One scores with a kick to the midsection.
Mikala walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Iokua Mikala has been cut.
Mikala with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Mikala keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
One changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mikala looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mikala is looking to regain half guard here but One keeps moving and retains side control.
Mikala can't do much from the bottom here.
One wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mikala keeps working.

Mikala takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
One in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
One is looking to take a break and control but Mikala is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Mikala's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mikala tries to bench press One off him but One keeps the position.
Mikala wants to control but One postures up.
Mikala is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

One grinds an elbow into Mikala's temple.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
One looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mikala is avoiding damage well.
One landing strikes.
Mikala manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Mikala actively working from the bottom here.
Mikala is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of One's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take One's back!
One tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Mikala misses with a head shot.

Mikala is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. One can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mikala is looking to work his way around to One's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
One sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
One avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mikala.

One kicks off Mikala and gets to his feet.
Mikala bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps One's head backwards.
Mikala throws an uppercut from half a mile away. One sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Mikala lands a really nice looking cross but One seems unphased.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mikala shoots in for a double leg but One sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
One is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mikala's half guard.
One wants to pass to mount but Mikala is defending the position.
One throwing shots but Mikala is blocking nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mikala regains full guard. Nicely done.
One wants to control from the top but Mikala keeps moving.
One lands a couple of decent looking shots.

and Mikala counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mikala.
A jab lands there for Mikala.
It looks like Nameless One has been cut.
A clash of legs there as One blocks the low kick.
Mikala looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
That has opened up Iokua Mikala's cut even more.
One fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
One throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A head kick by Mikala misses
and One decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mikala's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
One trying to control the position from guard on top but Mikala is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mikala is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
One scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
One postures up.
Mikala working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. One doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. One manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
One passes Mikala's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
One trying to control the action but Mikala is working from the bottom.
Mikala is looking to improve his position.

One is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Mikala is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mikala wants to control but One is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
One thows a huge punch but Mikala dodges it nicely.
One slows the pace down in half guard.
One trying to control from half guard but Mikala is working away.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Nameless One just wasn't active enough.
One will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mikala uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from One.
One looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mikala!
Mikala regains half guard.
Mikala moves into full guard.
Nameless One overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A low kick from Mikala is predictable there
and One counters with a straight right hand.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mikala.
Mikala will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
One shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mikala but Mikala pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mikala stuffs the takedown.
The fighters circle momentarily. One darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

One misses with a body shot.
One looks to land a right hand but Mikala moved out of range.

Mikala scores with a nice strike.
Mikala throws a hook to the side of One's head but One sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
One throws a shot from downtown. Mikala moves away and avoids it.
Mikala finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Mikala moves out of range of the leg kick from One.
One lands a jab to Mikala's midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mikala lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
One throws a push kick but Mikala slaps the foot to one side.
One thows a left - swing and a miss!
One keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mikala cracks One with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mikala scores with a jab. One acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Nameless One is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nameless One.
Well One has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
