Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Slunik Nahasapim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlos Tevez! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tevez fails with a takedown attempt. Nahasapim scores a takedown into full mount! Nahasapim knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tevez on the ground. Nahasapim prevents Tevez from getting the reversal. Nahasapim has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tevez's face.

Tevez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Nahasapim lands a heavy elbow. Nahasapim can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tevez is looking to escape. Tevez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Tevez has eaten all the pies! Nahasapim looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tevez is one step ahead there. Tevez trying to control but Nahasapim is working from the bottom. Tevez looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tevez preventing the sweep. Tevez looking to pass the guard. Nahasapim will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Nahasapim on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nahasapim tries to get out of the position. Nahasapim tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Tevez gets a takedown into half guard. Nahasapim has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tevez is working away from the top position though. Nahasapim is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Nahasapim is not content to let Tevez control the position. Tevez is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tevez prevents Nahasapim from getting the reversal. Tevez sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Tevez working for a guillotine from mount but Nahasapim is in no mood to give up. Tevez looks gassed! Tevez throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nahasapim is looking to get to half guard. Nahasapim tries to hold on but Tevez postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nahasapim can't escape the position.
Tevez avoids the attempt from Nahasapim to control. A nice elbow there by Tevez. Tevez looking for a guillotine from mount but Nahasapim is having none of it. Nahasapim is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tevez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nahasapim is looking to escape. Nahasapim is desperately trying to improve his position but Tevez has a good base and remains in mount. Tevez looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Tevez has control of Nahasapim's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nahasapim regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Nahasapim tries to lock up and control but Tevez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Tevez thowing shots but they're missing. Tevez is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Nahasapim is in real trouble.
Tevez has got one arm under Nahasapim's chin. This could be trouble... Nahasapim trying to control the other hand but Tevez gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Nahasapim has tapped out! The fight is over!
