Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Peter Narzoles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petr Alekseevich Kropotkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Narzoles has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. John Peter Narzoles has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Peter Narzoles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Petr Alekseevich Kropotkin!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kropotkin.
Kropotkin dives in and grabs Narzoles's left leg, looking for a takedown. Narzoles pushes down on Kropotkin's head and hops out.
Narzoles fails with the takedown

so Kropotkin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Narzoles is breathing heavily.
Narzoles being controlled here, momentarily.
Kropotkin stands and throws Narzoles's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Narzoles looks to move to half guard but instead Kropotkin has passed into mount! Damn!

Kropotkin stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Kropotkin rushes Narzoles and presses him up against the cage.
Narzoles goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kropotkin prevents it.

Kropotkin wants the takedown. Narzoles is fighting it off but Kropotkin persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Narzoles's guard against the cage.
Kropotkin controls from within his opponent's guard.

Kropotkin stands and steps away. Narzoles gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kropotkin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Narzoles!

Let's hope that Kropotkin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kropotkin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Petr Alekseevich Kropotkin was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Kropotkin misses with a kick to the body.

Kropotkin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Narzoles!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Petr Alekseevich Kropotkin dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Kropotkin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Kropotkin drags the fight down to the ground.
Kropotkin pulls Narzoles in close to prevent any damage.
Kropotkin has a closed guard, preventing Narzoles from standing up.
Kropotkin is pulling down on Narzoles's head. It's preventing any offense from Narzoles, at least for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kropotkin is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kropotkin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Petr Alekseevich Kropotkin was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Kropotkin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Narzoles is fending him off so far but Kropotkin persists. Nope, Narzoles circles away and we're back to standing.

Kropotkin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Narzoles did well to prevent Kropotkin getting side control.
Narzoles is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Kropotkin jumps into side control!
Petr Alekseevich Kropotkin has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kropotkin decides to stand back up. Kropotkin steps back and let's Narzoles get back to his feet.
Kropotkin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Narzoles sprawls well. Narzoles wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kropotkin gets slowly back to his feet.
John Peter Narzoles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kropotkin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Narzoles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kropotkin somewhat.
John Peter Narzoles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Petr Alekseevich Kropotkin.
Kropotkin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Narzoles wants to clinch

and Kropotkin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Narzoles!

Kropotkin landing punches.
Kropotkin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Narzoles has given up his back.

Narzoles won't enjoy being in this position. Kropotkin looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Narzoles is tapping - it's over boys! Kropotkin picks up the submission victory!
