Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Boladao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Kardanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boladao comes to the cage accompanied by Boladão de Amor. Kardanov has chosen Riders on the storm as his entrance music. Rodrigo Boladao is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rodrigo Boladao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anton Kardanov! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kardanov scores with a hook to the body. Boladao takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Kardanov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boladao manages to avoid it. Kardanov misses with a body shot.

Kardanov shoots in and bounces Boladao off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Kardanov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kardanov wants to stand but Boladao has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Boladao is looking for a triangle but Kardanov pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kardanov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kardanov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Boladao is proving hard to escape from. Kardanov gets to his feet. Boladao looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Boladao with a lazy takedown attempt and Kardanov counters with a takedown into side control. Kardanov controlling from side mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kardanov decides to take the fight back to the feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kardanov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Boladao sprawls well initially but Kardanov persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Kardanov decides to return to a standing position. Kardanov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boladao misses with a takedown and Kardanov counters with a single leg into guard. Boladao didn't expect that. Kardanov is working Boladao over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kardanov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Boladao, up you get! Kardanov throws a left and a right that both miss
so Boladao counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kardanov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Kardanov is wriggling around but Boladao manages to pass to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kardanov is pressing down on Boladao's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kardanov pulls Boladao in close to prevent any damage. Kardanov looking for a sweep. Not yet Kardanov, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anton Kardanov dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Boladao misses with a takedown attempt and Kardanov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Boladao's guard now. Kardanov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Boladao can't keep his opponent in guard - Kardanov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kardanov in particular looking to stall. Boladao is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kardanov pulls his head out easily. Kardanov is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kardanov decides to stand and escape the position. Kardanov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kardanov controlling the action here. Kardanov escapes and gets back to his feet. Boladao showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kardanov.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boladao doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kardanov counters with a three punch combo that has Boladao backing up. Boladao nods at Kardanov to acknowledge the strikes. Kardanov throws a jab when Boladao was well out of range. Boladao really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kardanov lands a nice shot to the body.
Kardanov misses with a straight left. Kardanov is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Boladao rather than just go for the knockout. Kardanov throws a series of punches but Boladao moves out of range. Anton Kardanov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boladao avoids the body shot from Kardanov.
Kardanov throws a looping overhand right but Boladao ducks down to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kardanov just misses with a punch to the body.
Boladao with a lazy takedown attempt and Kardanov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Boladao's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodrigo Boladao. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boladao working for a triangle but Kardanov defends it easily.
Kardanov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boladao. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kardanov controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kardanov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kardanov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kardanov lands in his opponent's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kardanov stays in close to Boladao's body and controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kardanov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Boladao dives on top into guard. Kardanov wants to get back to his feet but Boladao is in a dominant position and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anton Kardanov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Kardanov throws a body punch but Boladao moves out of range. Boladao has his takedown stuffed and Kardanov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kardanov wanted to stand there but Boladao had control of the position. Boladao can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kardanov controls the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Anton Kardanov wasn't active enough on the ground. Boladao with a poor takedown and Kardanov counters with a shoot takedown. Boladao fights it but they end up in guard. Kardanov is working Boladao over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kardanov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Let's hope that Kardanov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kardanov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Boladao shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kardanov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Boladao thinking. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodrigo Boladao. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kardanov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boladao moves away. Kardanov shoots in and bounces Boladao off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kardanov showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Anton Kardanov was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kardanov misses with a hook to the body
and Boladao decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kardanov's guard. Kardanov trying to control the position here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kardanov can do anything to dispel that myth. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Boladao stops Kardanov from standing up.
And that's the end of the fight! Anton Kardanov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kardanov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
