Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Humberto Giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Sparks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Humberto Giant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darren Sparks! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sparks lands a jab-cross combination. Sparks with a lazy takedown attempt and Giant counters with a body kick. Sparks throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Giant counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sparks's knee momentarily. Sparks punishes Giant's body with a nice straight punch. Sparks tries for a takedown but Giant circles away easily and Giant counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Sparks looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Giant thuds his shin into the meat of Sparks's side. Sparks shoots and misses and Giant counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Humberto Giant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darren Sparks. Giant bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Giant lands an overhand right. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sparks tries for a takedown but Giant circles away easily and Giant counters with a right hand to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sparks on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Sparks walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Sparks tries for a takedown but Giant circles away easily and Giant counters with a nice uppercut. Darren Sparks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sparks throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Giant counter with a right hand. Sparks throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Giant counters with a left to the body. Sparks on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Sparks misses with a takedown attempt and Giant counters with an outside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Giant scores with a jab to the body. Giant scores with a kick to the midsection. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Giant lands a leg kick that knocks Sparks off balance momentarily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Giant closes the distance and pushes Sparks back into the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Humberto Giant dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sparks has his takedown stuffed and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Giant fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sparks looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Giant scores with a kick to the midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. Giant scores with a hook. Sparks stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Giant. Giant has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sparks doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Giant to counter with a crisp jab. Sparks misses with a takedown attempt and Giant makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Humberto Giant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darren Sparks. Sparks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Giant counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Giant unloads a knee to the mid-section. A short right from Giant on the inside. Giant landing knees to the head.

Giant unloads a knee to the mid-section. Sparks lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Giant breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Giant lands with a hook. Sparks tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Sparks has his takedown stuffed and Giant counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sparks takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Sparks fails with the takedown and Giant cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Humberto Giant dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Giant throws a leg kick which misses Sparks's front leg but catches the back leg as Sparks tries to avoid it. Sparks is trying desperately to land a takedown but Giant is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Sparks. Sparks shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sparks takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sparks misses with a jab to the body
and Giant counters with a slapping leg kick. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sparks misses with a double jab
and Giant counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Giant.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sparks has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Giant avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Giant unloads a knee to the mid-section. Sparks lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Nice elbow from Giant. Giant putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Sparks in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Giant stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Giant lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Sparks takes a knee to the side of the body. Giant connects with a nasty looking knee right to Sparks's face.
Giant lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Giant scores a nice knee to the body.
Giant lands with a light punch inside. Giant lands an elbow that stopped Sparks in his tracks for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Giant lands an elbow inside. Sparks has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Giant. Sparks tries to pull guard but Giant won't allow it.
Humberto Giant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darren Sparks. Giant lands a left hand.
Giant stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Giant lands a knee to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Giant scores with a knee to the head.
Sparks goes for a takedown in the clinch but Giant prevents it.
A body shot lands from Giant.
Giant lands a body shot. Giant throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Sparks avoiding damage as Giant throws knees to the body.
A short left from Giant. Sparks tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Giant just stands there and leans against the cage. Giant prevents a takedown attempt there.
Giant lands a good knee to the midsection. Sparks won't want to take too many of those. Giant is pressed up against the cage. Sparks has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Giant down to the mat. Giant avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Sparks throws a combination that misses letting Giant counter with a right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Giant lands a head kick. Sparks smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Sparks scores with the left hand. Giant knows he should have avoided that one. Giant scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sparks doesn't seem bothered though. Sparks has his takedown stuffed and Giant counters with an inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Giant just misses with a punch to the body.
Sparks throws a right hand that misses
and Giant makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Darren Sparks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sparks lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
And that's the end of the fight! Humberto Giant showed his dominance in that final round. Well Giant has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
