Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Demetry Anders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aslambek Guram!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anders is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Aslambek Guram has been cut.
Guram shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Anders pinned against the cage. Anders gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Aslambek Guram seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anders jabs Guram right on the nose. Guram blinks but takes it well.
Anders with a nice cross.
Guram has his takedown stuffed
and Anders counters with a one-two to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Guram fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Anders avoids it really well and circles away.
Demetry Anders has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aslambek Guram.
Anders stuns Guram with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Anders scores with a jab to the jaw.
Guram takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Guram looks gassed!
Anders looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Anders drops Guram with a left right combo! Anders follows him down to the ground into side control.
Guram is rocked!
Anders prevents Guram from escaping the position.
Guram is still in real trouble! Can Anders finish him?
Anders controlling the position from side mount.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Anders thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Guram seems to have recovered his senses.
Anders stands up.
Guram gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Guram tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Anders is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Guram buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Guram!! Guram is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Anders throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Demetry Anders!
