Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Jayden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Lauzon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lauzon has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jayden.

Lauzon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jayden is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lauzon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Lauzon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jayden is just riding it out for now. Lauzon eventually gives up the hold.

Jayden is defending against the submission attempts here by Lauzon.
Lauzon prevents Jayden from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jayden regains full guard. Nicely done.

Lauzon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jayden is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jayden has escaped and now he's on top!

Lauzon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jayden defends well.

Lauzon has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Jayden doesn't defend quickly enough and Lauzon has managed to lock this one up! Can Jayden escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Lauzon on a fantastic submission victory.
