The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tony is defended easily by Bakunin.
Nice jab there from Bakunin.

It looks like James Tony has been cut.
Mijail Bakunin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tony dodges the punch combination from Bakunin.
Tony takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Bakunin misses with a body shot.
Tony misses with a takedown attempt
and Bakunin counters with a stiff right hand.

Bakunin lands a left and a right that send Tony crashing to the mat, dazed. Bakunin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Tony is rocked!

Bakunin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Oh Tony is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tony has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bakunin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Tony seems to have got his legs back now.

Tony is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bakunin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Bakunin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Tony shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bakunin lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Mijail Bakunin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bakunin lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Tony head around and knocks him out cold! Bakunin hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
