Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Elmer Villamar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Elmer Villamar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Hardy! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Villamar connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Hardy throws a predictable looking body shot
and Villamar counters with a nice double leg into guard. Villamar wants to control from the top but Hardy keeps moving. Hardy is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hardy is pulling down on Villamar's head to control his posture. Hardy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Villamar has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hardy is proving hard to escape from. Villamar scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Villamar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Villamar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hardy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Villamar looking to sit in guard and control but Hardy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Villamar pulls Hardy in to control the position. Hardy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Villamar swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hardy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Villamar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hardy is working Villamar over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hardy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Villamar is keeping the position for now. Villamar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hardy trying to control but Villamar is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hardy wants to stand and escape but instead Villamar has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Villamar passes Hardy's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Hardy wants to control but Villamar passes into side.
Villamar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hardy keeps working. Villamar scoring with punches and elbows. Villamar postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Villamar trying to control the action but Hardy is working from the bottom. Villamar looks up at the clock and then as Hardy takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Villamar smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Villamar stands up and we're back to a striking position. Villamar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hardy to the mat! Hardy manages to get full guard. Hardy throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hardy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hardy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Villamar is aware though and is defending well. Hardy looks gassed! Hardy wants to hit a switch here but Villamar passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Hardy there! Villamar with shots to the head and body - Hardy looks very uncomfortable down there. Villamar breaks from Hardy's wrist control and lands an elbow. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Villamar in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Hardy wants to control but Villamar is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Villamar stuns Hardy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Villamar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hardy sprawls well initially but Villamar persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Villamar wants to take a breather but Hardy is having none of it. Hardy is trying to maintain the position but Villamar is very close to passing his half guard. Hardy gets back to full guard.
Villamar tries to free his leg and advance position but Hardy is retaining full guard. Villamar cracks Hardy with a solid left hand. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hardy is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Villamar passes Hardy's left leg - he's now in half guard. Villamar wants to get back to his feet.
Villamar scoring with strikes to the body and head. Villamar frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Villamar tries to control but Hardy wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Villamar working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Hardy can't escape the position.
Hardy bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Hardy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hardy looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Villamar has his foot on Hardy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hardy works his way back into a safe position though. Villamar working a defensive guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hardy wants to control from the top but Villamar keeps moving. Hardy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Hardy throws a nice head kick!
Hardy moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. A combination from Villamar does no damage. Hardy lands a slapping body shot.
A low kick from Hardy is predictable there and Villamar counters with a head kick. Hardy attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Hardy lands with a nice body kick. Hardy lands a nice looking body kick. Villamar fails with an attempt to clinch.
Villamar on the wrong end of a nice jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Kevin Elmer Villamar will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and Villamar counters with a shoot takedown. Hardy fights it but they end up in guard. Villamar wants to control from the top but Hardy keeps moving. Villamar advances to half guard. Hardy is refusing to be controlled, as Villamar sits in half guard. Hardy is trying to maintain the position but Villamar is very close to passing his half guard. Hardy throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Villamar wants to pass to mount but Hardy is defending the position.

Hardy is staying active underneath Villamar, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hardy is trying to get back to full guard. Villamar is looking to take a break and control but Hardy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kevin Elmer Villamar just wasn't active enough. Hardy throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Villamar's head. Hardy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Villamar to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hardy controls Villamar momentarily but Villamar frees himself. Kevin Elmer Villamar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Villamar wants to stand but Hardy has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Hardy wants to stand but Villamar is controlling the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hardy misses with a series of wild punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Villamar closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hardy's guard. Villamar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Villamar wants to get up but he can't break Hardy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Villamar won't allow Hardy to sweep him here. Villamar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Villamar trying to control but Hardy is working from the bottom.
We're going to have a standup here because Kevin Elmer Villamar wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Villamar fails in his attempt to clinch. Hardy looks to throw a body kick and Villamar counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hardy's guard now. Dan Hardy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kevin Elmer Villamar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Villamar sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hardy's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Kevin Elmer Villamar showed his dominance in that final round. Well Villamar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
