Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Matrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geese Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Howard has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. John Matrix has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matrix moves into the clinch.
Howard with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Howard looks gassed!
Howard looking to throw knees to the head but Matrix is blocking nicely.
Stalling in the clinch from Matrix.
Howard tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Matrix smiles and moves away.
Howard misses with a low kick.
Howard tries to clinch
and Matrix counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Matrix cracks Howard with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Howard looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Matrix finish him?
Howard is rocked!
It looks like Geese Howard has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Matrix has taken the fight to the clinch.
Howard is still on wobbly legs! Can Matrix finish him?
Matrix unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Howard! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Matrix is unloading with more strikes now! Howard drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Matrix!
