Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Louie Cane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Sagat! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cane dives in and scores a takedown into Sagat's guard. Cane pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sagat is keeping the position for now. Sagat lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cane! Sagat thowing shots but they're missing. Cane working to try and regain half guard.
Sagat content just to control the position here. Cane is desperately trying to improve his position but Sagat has a good base and remains in mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cane manages to regain half guard. Good work. Sagat frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Cane might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sagat takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Cane is desperately trying to improve his position but Sagat has a good base and remains in mount. Sagat wants to control the pace but Cane is squirming around nicely. Sagat looking to control and managing it successfully. Cane keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sagat looking to control and managing it successfully. Sagat wants to control the pace but Cane is squirming around nicely. Cane tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cane bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Cane working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sagat thuds a left hand into Cane's body. Sagat misses with a kick to the body.
A head kick from Sagat lands but Cane takes it in his stride. Victor Sagat is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cane blocks a head kick by Sagat.

and Cane counters with a nice uppercut. Sagat misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Sagat swings away with a leg kick that misses. Sagat throws a predictable looking body shot
and Cane counters with a right hand to the body. Sagat falls off balance throwing a combination
and Cane decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sagat's guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Sagat is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cane wants to pass the guard but Sagat is keeping the position. Sagat keeping moving, preventing Cane from controlling successfully. Cane drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Cane as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Sagat screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Cane! Nice submission victory there!
