Gruver comes to the cage accompanied by Van Halen-Hot For Teacher . Hanna is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lunatic Fringe-Red Rider. Dave Hanna is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruver looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hanna is fending him off so far but Gruver persists. Nope, Hanna circles away and we're back to standing.
Gruver tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hanna swivels and escapes.
Hanna clinches.
Hanna goes for a takedown in the clinch but Gruver prevents it.
Gruver wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gruver drags the fight down to the ground.
Hanna wants to control from the top but Gruver keeps moving.
Gruver doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Gruver on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gruver tries to get out of the position.
Hanna won't allow Gruver to sweep him here.

Hanna slips nicely into half guard.

Hanna has hold of Gruver's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gruver manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Gruver tries to reverse the position but Hanna maintains control.

Hanna jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gruver manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Hanna stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Hanna misses with a takedown
and Gruver counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hanna's guard now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gruver content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Hanna decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gruver, up you get!
Gruver shoots in and bounces Hanna off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Gruver with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Hanna tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Hanna lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gruver!

Gruver wants to hold on but Hanna pushes him away.
Gruver has given up his back. Will we see Hanna going for some submissions?
Gruver tries to escape the position.
Hanna has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Gruver is in real trouble here. Hanna gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Gruver is tapping out! Hanna wins by rear naked choke!
