The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture throws a sloppy head kick
and Boyka counters with a one-two to the body.
Boyka tries to clinch up

and Couture counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Boyka prevents the takedown attempt.
Boyka wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Boyka jumps guard but Couture stands there with Boyka around his waist. Boyka gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Couture manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Couture looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Boyka puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Couture gets full guard.
Couture manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boyka manages to get himself to full guard.
Boyka not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Couture advances to half guard.
Boyka has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Couture is working away from the top position though.

Couture decides to return to a standing position.
Boyka stalks Couture and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Couture's face. Couture staggers backwards, shaken.
Boyka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Boyka tries to clinch up

and Couture counters by clinching up.

Couture jumps into guard, dragging Boyka to the mat.
Boyka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Couture swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Boyka with a flurry of punches that miss.
Couture strikes from his own guard.
Couture is pulling down on Boyka's head. It's preventing any offense from Boyka, at least for the moment.

Boyka is posturing up here but Couture has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Boyka tries to roll out but it's too tight and Boyka has to tap! Slick submission there by Couture!
