The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darby has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fairtex finds it's way round the side to connect with Darby's head.
Fairtex misses with a hook to the body
and Darby counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Darby shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fairtex eats them both and turns towards Darby to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jason Fairtex will probably get the nod.

Fairtex swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Darby.
Fairtex cracks Darby with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Darby tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Fairtex pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Darby is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
