Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Badr Hari!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tiny McGee!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hari goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
McGee throws out a loose jab but Hari uses good head movement to avoid it.
McGee misses the jab.
Hari throws a head kick that misses.
Hari buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hari misses with a head kick.
McGee takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A solid body kick from Hari.
Hari throws a leg kick but McGee sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Hari wants to clinch but McGee slips to the side
and McGee makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hari walks into a straight right hand from McGee.
It looks like Badr Hari has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McGee circles away from the clinch attempt
and McGee counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Hari is breathing heavily.
McGee thows a body shot but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hari is looking to chop away at McGee's legs.
McGee wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Badr Hari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hari bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hari moves out of range of the strikes.
McGee fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McGee lands a big right hand that sends Hari crashing to the mat! McGee stays standing though and waves Hari back to his feet!
Hari is rocked!
McGee fakes the body blow, causing Hari to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Hari goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tiny McGee!
