Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rob Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tetsu Bodashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tetsu Bodashi was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rob Duncan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tetsu Bodashi! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duncan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bodashi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Duncan somewhat. Duncan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bodashi is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bodashi is looking to clinch but Duncan is avoiding it.
Left hook, right uppercut from Bodashi.
It looks like Rob Duncan has been cut. The fight stays on the outside here - Bodashi looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Duncan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bodashi did well to prevent Duncan getting side control. Duncan with the ground and pound but Bodashi uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duncan throws a strike but Bodashi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Bodashi trying to control but Duncan is working from the bottom. Duncan wants to get back to his feet but Bodashi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bodashi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bodashi trying to control the position from guard on top but Duncan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bodashi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Duncan wants to get back to his feet but Bodashi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Tetsu Bodashi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Bodashi closes the distance looking to clinch and Duncan counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bodashi is trying is best to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duncan missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Duncan scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Bodashi won't allow Duncan to pass to mount. Duncan is trying to control. Bodashi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Duncan sitting and controlling from the half guard. Duncan wants to take a breather but Bodashi is having none of it. Duncan working over Bodashi with some ground and pound. Bodashi looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Duncan slips a nice elbow through Bodashi's hands, connecting with Bodashi's forehead. Duncan is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Bodashi won't allow Duncan to pass to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duncan missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Duncan working the head and body with strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bodashi is not content to let Duncan control the position. Duncan working Bodashi over with strikes. Duncan wants to pass the guard but Bodashi is defending well. Duncan not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Duncan missing with the ground and pound from half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Duncan is pressing down on Bodashi's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bodashi is holding on for now. Duncan scoring with strikes to the body and head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Duncan dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rob Duncan's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bodashi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Duncan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bodashi tries to clinch and Duncan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bodashi won't be happy with that. Bodashi wants to control but Duncan postures up. Bodashi tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Duncan working Bodashi over with strikes here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Duncan cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Duncan dominating with strikes here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Duncan lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Bodashi is rocked! Duncan connects with a bit shot that sees Bodashi covering up! More strikes from Duncan and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Duncan is our winner by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rob Duncan!
