Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zeke Glisky ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johny Hendricks! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendricks throws a chopping leg kick but Glisky manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Glisky tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hendricks sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Glisky somewhat. Hendricks moves to clinch but Glisky breaks away and Glisky counters with a nice uppercut. Glisky stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Glisky wants it to stay on the feet. Glisky closes the distance and clinches. Glisky working hard to break the clinch. Hendricks wants a takedown but no success here.
A frustrated look appears on Glisky 's face as he tries to break the clinch. Hendricks escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hendricks shoots in for a double leg but Glisky sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Zeke Glisky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johny Hendricks. Hendricks fails to land the takedown. Hendricks misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Glisky misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hendricks shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Glisky defends it nicely. Hendricks drops his hands momentarily and Glisky takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Johny Hendricks has been cut. Hendricks shoots in but Glisky avoids the takedown attempt easily. Glisky shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hendricks as he avoids it easily. Hendricks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Glisky counters with a one-two to the body. Hendricks looks gassed! Decent striking displayed by Glisky there. Hendricks is trying hard to land a takedown here. Glisky sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hendricks gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Glisky prevents the takedown attempt.

Glisky shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hendricks as he jumps to the side. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hendricks is defended easily by Glisky . Glisky lands a glancing blow to the side of Hendricks's head. Hendricks misses with a takedown and Glisky holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Hendricks prevents Glisky from breaking the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glisky successfully pulls guard.
Hendricks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Glisky works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hendricks drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Glisky dives on top into guard. Hendricks wants to get back to his feet but Glisky is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Glisky trying to control but Hendricks is working from the bottom. Glisky knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hendricks on the ground. Hendricks wants to stand but Glisky is controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Zeke Glisky . Glisky looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hendricks is fending him off so far but Glisky persists. Nope, Hendricks circles away and we're back to standing. Glisky lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hendricks tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Glisky swivels and escapes. Glisky tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hendricks sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Glisky somewhat. Hendricks tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zeke Glisky dominated that round. The cut man is working on Johny Hendricks's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nice takedown defense from Hendricks. No joy for Glisky on that attempt. No luck for Hendricks with that takedown attempt. Glisky misses with a head kick.
Glisky gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Glisky pulls Hendricks in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Glisky being controlled here, momentarily. Hendricks's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hendricks stands up from Glisky 's guard - Hendricks perhaps looking for a knockout. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Glisky checks a leg kick. A momentary lapse in concentration from Glisky enables Hendricks to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Glisky manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Hendricks lands a couple of digs. Glisky on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Glisky tries to get out of the position.

Hendricks wants to control from the top but Glisky keeps moving. Hendricks connects with a couple of short punches. Glisky looking to control.
Hendricks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hendricks trying to control the position from guard on top but Glisky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Glisky !

Glisky tries to avoid it but Hendricks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Glisky to the ground. Glisky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Zeke Glisky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johny Hendricks. Hendricks is breathing heavily. Hendricks slaps away a takedown attempt from Glisky , before circling back to the center of the mat. Hendricks takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Glisky throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Hendricks shoots in but Glisky avoids the takedown attempt easily. No joy there for Glisky , who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hendricks. Nice sprawl there from Glisky as Hendricks shoots in. Glisky is looking to land body kicks. Hendricks tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Glisky swivels and escapes. Glisky moves into the clinch successfully.

Glisky seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Hendricks wants to control from the top but Glisky keeps moving. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hendricks decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johny Hendricks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Johny Hendricks's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Glisky lands with an uppercut that bounces Hendricks off the cage and back into rage. Glisky lands a nice hook to Hendricks's body. Hendricks takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Hendricks misses with a wild combination.

Hendricks is rocked! Hendricks walks straight into a right hand from Glisky - that's dropped him! Glisky jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Hendricks from any more punishment! Hendricks complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
