Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Valeri Sobotkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Molotov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sobotkin comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - Enter Sandman. Andrei Molotov has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Valeri Sobotkin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Molotov throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A jab lands there for Molotov.
Sobotkin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Molotov tries to avoid it but Sobotkin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Molotov to the ground. Molotov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Molotov throws a head kick that Sobotkin semi-blocks.

and Sobotkin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sobotkin.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sobotkin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Molotov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sobotkin, into his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Molotov gets to his feet. Sobotkin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Sobotkin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sobotkin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Molotov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Sobotkin throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Molotov is not content to let Sobotkin control the position.
Sobotkin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Sobotkin throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Molotov works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Sobotkin looks to land a strike but Molotov avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sobotkin postures up in Molotov's guard and throws a big left but Molotov blocks it.

Sobotkin throws a strike but Molotov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Valeri Sobotkin will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Molotov throws a combination. Sobotkin tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Sobotkin is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Molotov is trying to force a seperation but Sobotkin has the dominant position.
Sobotkin has Molotov pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Molotov manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Sobotkin wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Valeri Sobotkin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sobotkin wants to break free but Molotov has control.
Sobotkin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Molotov walks away with a smile on his face. Sobotkin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Molotov stalks Sobotkin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sobotkin's face. Sobotkin staggers backwards, shaken.

Sobotkin gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Sobotkin shoots in for a takedown but Molotov shows good takedown defense.

Molotov is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

and Molotov counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sobotkin is lucky that one didn't land flush.
