Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fouad Chabib (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Desjardins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Desjardins has chosen Bob Marley - I Shot The Sheriff as his entrance music. Jonathan Desjardins will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Chabib tries to clinch up
and Desjardins counters with a series of strikes. Chabib will be more careful next time no doubt.
Chabib closes the distance but Desjardins moves to the side
and Desjardins counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Desjardins throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chabib moves in looking to clinch but Desjardins pushes him off.
Chabib tries to clinch up but Desjardins circles away and keeps his distance.

Chabib escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chabib tries to close the distance and clinch but Desjardins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Desjardins counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Chabib thinking.
Chabib has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Desjardins.
Desjardins motions for Chabib to come forward. Desjardins throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

The fight stays on the outside here - Chabib looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Chabib is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Desjardins throws out a leg kick but Chabib moves out of range and Desjardins only half commits.
Chabib fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Desjardins, pushing him back against the ropes.
Chabib tries a knee to the head but Desjardins blocks it.

Chabib avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Desjardins.
Chabib pushes Desjardins off looking to stand but Desjardins dives back in and keeps control.

Desjardins wants to work for an arm triangle but Chabib is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Desjardins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Desjardins is keen to just control but Chabib is a slippery customer.

Desjardins uses his free foot to push down on Chabib's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Chabib.

Desjardins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Chabib has left one of his arms exposed and Desjardins doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Chabib screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
