The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuller scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
landry tries to bench press Fuller off him but Fuller keeps the position.
landry gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

landry has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fuller is working away from the top position though.

Fuller swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and landry is now in Fuller's guard. A big mistake from Fuller there, giving up the dominant position!

Fuller seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down landry for as long as he can get away with.

landry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

landry is fighting off a takedown attempt but Fuller is just too persistent for him and manages to trip landry to the mat. landry regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Fuller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fuller is fighting to break landry's control of his arms but landry is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Fuller is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
landry is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
John Fuller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fuller, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
