Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arzuman Asadov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murphy Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Asadov comes to the cage accompanied by Arzuman Entrance Song. Murphy Brown will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Arzuman Asadov has been cut.
Asadov misses with a combination
and Brown counters with a one-two to the body.
Brown tries to land a front kick but Asadov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Good work by Brown as he checks the leg kick.
Nice body kick from Brown.
A combination from Brown does no damage.
Sloppy strikes from Brown. Those never looked like landing.
Brown tries to score with a low kick but Asadov moves his leg out of the way.
Brown throws a right hand that Asadov ducks under and follows up with a left that Asadov also avoids with ease.
Brown displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Asadov.
Asadov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brown can pounce on him.

Asadov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brown sprawls well initially but Asadov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Asadov is working for a kimura but Brown is defending it quite comfortably.

Brown is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Asadov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Asadov's back!
Brown is trying to stick to Asadov's back but Asadov is turning into Brown. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Brown's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Asadov.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Asadov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Asadov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brown manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Asadov has Brown in his guard.
Brown is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Brown is looking to stand up but Asadov won't let him.

Asadov looking for subs off his back but Brown has passed one foot through into half guard.
Asadov is looking to improve his position.

Brown stands up out of the half guard.
Asadov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brown can pounce on him.
Asadov shoots in but Brown avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Asadov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brown's guard.
Asadov lands a couple of elbows.

Asadov has gone for a leg lock! Brown slips out almost immediately though and dives into Asadov's guard.

Brown tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Asadov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Asadov tries to get out of the position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Brown wants to stand but Asadov has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Brown.
Asadov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brown pinned against the cage. Brown gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Brown misses with a double jab.
Asadov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Brown throws a series of punches but Asadov avoids them all with ease.
Asadov swings widly with a right hand
and Brown counters with a one-two to the body.
Asadov misses with a jab to the body
and Brown counters with a leg kick.
Brown feints a jab promting Asadov to slip. Brown then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Asadov slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Asadov tries to clinch up but Brown circles away and keeps his distance.

Brown misses with a few strikes there.
A nice combination there by Brown.

Asadov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Asadov swings around for an armbar but Brown sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Asadov's guard.
Asadov looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Brown would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Brown gets to his feet. Asadov looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Asadov keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Asadov misses the body punch
and Brown counters with a big head kick but Asadov shrugs it off.

Asadov closes the distance and clinches up with Brown, looking for a takedown. Asadov pushes Brown against the cage but Brown circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Brown is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Asadov frees his head nicely. Oh but Brown has switched to an armbar! Asadov is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
