Zarathustra is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I Against I. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Asmir Zslevski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Also Zarathustra!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zarathustra on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Zslevski. Zslevski obviously looking to wear him down.
A decent looking cross lands there for Zarathustra.
Zarathustra misses with a body kick.
Zslevski ducks right into an uppercut from Zarathustra.
Zarathustra on the wrong end of a nice jab.


It looks like Also Zarathustra has been cut.
Zarathustra pivots, looking for a leg kick but Zslevski is out of range and Zarathustra settles back down.
Zarathustra moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
No luck for Zslevski with that takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Zslevski or perhaps it was just good defense by Zarathustra which made him look bad.
Zarathustra lands a jab to Zslevski's midsection.
Zarathustra missing with a left hand there. Zslevski was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Zslevski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zarathustra is trying to improve his position.
Zarathustra wants to control but Zslevski postures up.
Zarathustra gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Zslevski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zarathustra keeps working.
Zslevski wants to pass the guard but Zarathustra is defending well.
Zarathustra wants to improve his position but Zslevski is controlling well.

Zslevski seems to be working for a kimura but Zarathustra defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zslevski takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Zarathustra works his way to full guard. Good work.
Zslevski wants to pass the guard but Zarathustra is keeping the position.

Zarathustra is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Zslevski wants to control from the top but Zarathustra keeps moving.
Zslevski has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Zslevski drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Zslevski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Zarathustra is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Zslevski wants to control from the top but Zarathustra keeps moving.
Zarathustra being controlled here, momentarily.

Zarathustra is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Zslevski rolls with it to try and escape but Zarathustra cranks on the arm and Zslevski is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Also Zarathustra!
