Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Palowakski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palowakski comes to the cage accompanied by Burning Down the House. Polo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mind, Body, & Soul. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fred Palowakski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marco Polo! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Polo throws a combination that misses and Polo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Marco Polo has been cut. Polo gets a double leg takedown into Palowakski's guard. Polo looking to sit in guard and control but Palowakski gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Palowakski has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Polo keeping moving, preventing Palowakski from controlling successfully. Palowakski with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Palowakski drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Palowakski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Palowakski throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Polo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Polo trying to control the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Palowakski trying to control the position from guard on top but Polo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Palowakski slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Polo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Palowakski not landing any meaningful shots this time. Polo wants to control but Palowakski is keeping busy.
Polo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Polo tries to roll over but Palowakski keeps him under control. Palowakski working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Palowakski is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Palowakski thows a huge punch but Polo dodges it nicely.
Palowakski with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Polo is trying to control but can't.
Palowakski seems to be working for a kimura but Polo defends the submission attempt. Polo moves into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Palowakski wants to control from the top but Polo keeps moving. Palowakski loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Polo keeping moving, preventing Palowakski from controlling successfully. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fred Palowakski has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Palowakski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Polo with a poor takedown and Palowakski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Palowakski scores a takedown into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Polo tries to reverse the position but Palowakski maintains control. Palowakski goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Polo turns into him and now he's in Palowakski's guard.
Palowakski wants to hit a switch here but Polo passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Palowakski there! Polo tries to control but Palowakski wriggling away. Polo controlling from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Palowakski tries to get back to half guard but can't. Palowakski blocking the ground and pound. Polo goes for an armbar but Palowakski turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Palowakski. Palowakski with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Polo is trying to keep Palowakski in close.
Polo is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Palowakski wants to control from the top but Polo keeps moving. Polo controls Palowakski momentarily but Palowakski frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fred Palowakski dominated that round. The cut man is working on Marco Polo's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Polo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Palowakski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Polo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Palowakski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Polo somewhat. Polo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Palowakski to score an easy takedown into full guard. Polo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Palowakski looking to pass the guard. Polo has an active guard here but Palowakski has managed to pass into half guard.
Palowakski is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Polo tries to get to full guard but Palowakski has control of the leg. Palowakski trying to control from half guard but Polo is working away. Palowakski has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Palowakski working for a guillotine from mount but Polo is in no mood to give up. Polo wants to control but Palowakski is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Polo working to try and regain half guard.
Palowakski fails to move to back control. Palowakski landing punches. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Polo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Palowakski controlling his opponent. Palowakski fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The cut above Marco Polo's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Polo is in a horrible position here. Palowakski smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Marco Polo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Fred Palowakski!
