Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gerome Kabasla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colin Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burton has chosen Crying Game - Professor Green as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gerome Kabasla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Colin Burton!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burton is looking to clinch.

Kabasla has managed to clinch.
Burton tries to land a knee to the head but Kabasla blocks with his arms.
Burton being controlled against the cage.
Kabasla looking to throw knees to the head but Burton is blocking nicely.
Kabasla tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Kabasla tries for a takedown but Burton manages to get underhooks.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Burton.
Knees in the clinch landing for Kabasla.
Burton scores a nice knee to the body.
Burton is pressed up against the cage. Kabasla has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Burton down to the mat. Burton avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Burton lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kabasla backs up against the cage.

Kabasla closes the distance and clinches.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Burton takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Kabasla has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Burton avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gerome Kabasla. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Come on Burton - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Burton tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Kabasla tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Burton tries to stall but Kabasla uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Kabasla misses with a knee strike.
Kabasla throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Burton blocks it with crossed arms.
Kabasla tries to land a knee to the head but Burton blocks with his arms.
Kabasla throws a knee to the head but misses.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Burton.
Burton misses with a knee to the head.
Burton lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Burton using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kabasla has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Kabasla turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burton stops Kabasla from passing to mount.
Kabasla working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Burton tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Burton can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kabasla in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Burton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kabasla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Burton is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kabasla's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Burton works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kabasla makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Kabasla stops Burton from standing up.
Kabasla passes Burton's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kabasla working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Kabasla is trying to control the action in half guard but Burton is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kabasla seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Ground and pound from Kabasla.
Kabasla wants to control but Burton is keeping him busy.
Burton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kabasla thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Burton's head.

Burton tries to kick Kabasla off but Kabasla keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kabasla has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kabasla looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Burton with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kabasla trying to control the action but Burton is working from the bottom.
Kabasla has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Kabasla can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Burton is looking to escape.
Kabasla lands a heavy elbow.

Burton keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kabasla working away from the top, dropping strikes.
The referee warns Burton that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Kabasla punishing his opponent with strikes.
Kabasla scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Burton can't escape the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kabasla is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Burton is forced to tap! Great finish!
