The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coelho closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pineda did well to prevent Coelho getting side control.
Pineda looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Pineda gets back to full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Pineda is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Coelho defends well.
Coelho chips away with some ground and pound.
Coelho thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coelho distracts Pineda with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
