PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gracie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fort Minor - Petrified (Gracie Remix). Peterson has chosen Diamond as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Gracie!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Victor Peterson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gracie's head.
Peterson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gracie pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Peterson misses with an uppercut. Gracie saw that one coming.
Peterson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gracie doesn't seem bothered though.
Gracie is looking to clinch.
Gracie moves out of range of the strikes.
Peterson misses with a body shot.
Peterson shoots in looking for a takedown but Gracie manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Peterson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Peterson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gracie's guard now.
Gracie wants to stand and escape but Peterson is having none of it.

Peterson shoots for a takedown but Gracie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Peterson shoots in looking for a takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl out of it but Peterson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gracie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gracie connects with a leg kick. Peterson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Gracie throws a hook to the side of Peterson's head but Peterson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
