Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rango Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rango Gracie !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charlie Walker!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Walker tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg.

Gracie is working for a kimura here but Walker manages to reverse the position and he's now in Gracie 's guard.
Gracie wants to sweep but no luck.
Walker tries to stand but Gracie is controlling from the bottom.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Walker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gracie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Walker!
Walker tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Gracie working the ground and pound effectively.
Gracie wants to control the pace but Walker is squirming around nicely.
Walker reaches up to try and control the position but Gracie seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Walker rolls and tries to escape and now Gracie has his back!

Walker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Gracie is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Gracie tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Walker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gracie walks away with a smile on his face. Walker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Walker tried to score with a low kick but Gracie checks it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Walker did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.

Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Gracie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gracie tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Walker.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Walker is looking to improve his position.
Walker is trying to stand.

Gracie is working for a submission of some sort.
Gracie stalling.
Walker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Walker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gracie is working away from the top position though.
Gracie wants to free his trapped foot but Walker is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Walker defends it well.
Gracie wants to pass to mount but Walker is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rango Gracie dominated that round.

Gracie tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Walker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gracie defends it nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Gracie counters by clinching up.
Walker on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Walker misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Gracie .

Gracie has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Walker regains guard immediately.
Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Walker is retaining full guard.

Gracie gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Gracie keeps the fight on the outside.
Gracie fails in his attempt to clinch.
Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by Gracie .
Gracie slaps away a takedown attempt from Walker, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rango Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie Walker.

Gracie darts in and clinches Walker up against the cage.

Gracie pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Walker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gracie walks away with a smile on his face. Walker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nice takedown defense from Gracie . No joy for Walker on that attempt.
Walker shoots in and drives through. Gracie sprawls well.

Gracie clinches.

Gracie lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Walker gets full guard.
Gracie throws a big right hand that misses.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Walker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gracie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Walker is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Walker has escaped and now he's on top!
Walker won't allow Gracie to sweep him here.

Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Walker forces his way into half guard.
Walker wants to take a breather but Gracie is having none of it.

Gracie looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Gracie wants to improve his position but Walker is controlling well.
Walker is trying to control. Gracie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Gracie wants to get back to full guard.

Gracie wants to get back to his feet.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Walker wants to clinch but Gracie slips to the side
and Gracie counters with a two punch combo.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gracie gets to his feet - Walker follows without any prompting.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Walker wants to clinch

and Gracie counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Walker!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rango Gracie dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Gracie tries a head kick but it misses.
Gracie leaves Walker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Walker shoots in but no luck this time.
Walker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gracie .

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Walker is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gracie 's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Gracie passes to full mount!

Gracie stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Walker misses with a double jab
and Gracie counters with a two punch combo.

Gracie looking to score a takedown here. Walker is defending well but Gracie drives through and ends up in Walker's guard.

and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Walker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Walker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie 's guard.
Gracie is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Rango Gracie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gracie keeping moving, preventing Walker from controlling successfully.

Walker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Walker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gracie is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Walker is controlling him.
Gracie wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Walker manages to pass to side control.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gracie , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
