Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurt Sanders looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Connor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kurt Sanders! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanders will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fight stays on the outside here - Connor looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A head kick misses from Connor. Sanders should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Connor rushes Sanders and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Connor is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Connor breaks from the clinch.
Sanders avoids a low kick by using good footwork. A right-left combo lands from Connor. Connor gets the takedown into side control. Sanders is looking to regain half guard here but Connor keeps moving and retains side control. Sanders manages to get back to half guard. Sanders makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sanders. Sanders looks gassed! Connor wants to stand but Sanders is controlling his posture from full guard. Connor in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Connor with a flurry of punches that miss. Connor with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Connor trying to control but Sanders is working from the bottom. Connor will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sanders tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sanders is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sanders is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sanders is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Connor.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sanders takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Connor lands a glancing blow to the side of Sanders's head. Connor is looking to clinch but Sanders is avoiding it.
Kurt Sanders is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Connor slips under a jab. Connor avoids the body shot from Sanders.
Connor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Connor lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Connor misses with a head kick.
John Connor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Connor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sanders paws at him with a jab and circles away. Connor tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sanders swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sanders misses with a leg kick and Connor counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Sanders misses with a double jab
and Connor counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Connor. Connor manages to break the clinch.
Sanders tries to bum rush Connor with a series of wild strikes but Connor uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sanders gets caught flat footed, as Connor shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Connor decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sanders, up you get! Sanders throws a solid leg kick but Connor takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sanders. Connor lands with a kick to the temple. Sanders shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Connor has Sanders up against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Connor misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Sanders.
Connor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sanders circles away from the clinch attempt.
Good leg kick by Sanders there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Connor is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Connor lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sanders's sensitive parts. Connor lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Connor moves out of range of the strikes. Sanders showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Connor.

A low kick from Sanders misses and Connor counters with a nice body kick. Sanders misses with a double jab
and Connor counters with a good low kick that Sanders was not able to check. Connor lands with a slapping head kick. Sanders looks to score with a jab to the body but Connor is just out of range. Connor tries a head kick but it misses.
Connor fails to land the takedown. Connor throws a head kick that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanders throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Connor has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sanders finds it's way round the side to connect with Connor's head. Connor thuds his shin into the meat of Sanders's side. Sanders misses with a looping left. Connor throws a head kick but Sanders moves out of range.
Sanders fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Connor manages to avoid it. Connor falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sanders counters with a straight right hand. Sanders throws a front kick aimed at Connor's knee but Connor avoids it well. Connor checks a leg kick. Sanders throws a right and a left that Connor avoids nicely. Connor falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sanders counters with a good low kick that Connor was not able to check. Connor avoids the body shot from Sanders.
Connor tries to clinch up but Sanders circles away and keeps his distance. Connor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sanders but Sanders pushes him off and we're back to square one. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sanders throws a jab but it's blocked by Connor. Sanders throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Connor sees it coming and avoids it easily. Connor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Connor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Connor falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Sanders counter with a right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Connor dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Connor connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sanders's hands. Sanders tries to keep at a distance but Connor has taken the fight into the clinch. Connor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sanders is rocked! Connor shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Connor slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Connor lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
