Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Freddie Mercury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Pan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Freddie Mercury! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Pan! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mercury looks for a takedown but Pan sprawls well. Mercury fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Peter Pan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pan swats away the attempt to clinch by Mercury. Mercury shoots in but Pan avoids the takedown attempt easily. Pan clinches but Mercury breaks the clinch and Mercury counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Pan wants to get back to his feet.
Pan manages to escape and get back to his feet! Pan gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pan is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Mercury wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pan has him pressed against the cage. Mercury stalling in the clinch.
Pan lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

That's one minute gone in the round. Mercury lands a body shot. With the fighters up against the cage, Pan throws an elbow but misses. Mercury pulls guard successfully.
Mercury manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pan manages to get himself to full guard.
Mercury wants to control from the top but Pan keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mercury throws a strike but Pan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Mercury not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mercury wants to sweep here but Pan controlling him for the moment. Mercury is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Pan trying to control but Mercury is working from the bottom. Mercury not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mercury looks for a takedown but Pan sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freddie Mercury. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pan tries to clinch but Mercury moves away and Mercury counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Mercury ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mercury no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Mercury is trying to control the position but Pan postures up. Mercury tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mercury seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Pan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mercury has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Pan off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Mercury tries to clinch but Pan moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pan closes the distance looking to clinch and Mercury counters with a shoot takedown. Pan fights it but they end up in guard. Mercury seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mercury missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mercury looking to pass the guard. Mercury wants to stand but Pan has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pan wants to stand and escape but Mercury is having none of it. Mercury controlling from the top position. Mercury gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Pan wants to clinch and Mercury counters with a single leg into guard. Pan didn't expect that. Mercury pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pan is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pan keeping moving, preventing Mercury from controlling successfully. Pan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mercury. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mercury advances to half guard. Mercury stalling. Mercury stands up and beckons Pan to join him on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mercury throws a wild body kick that Pan sees coming a mile off. Mercury fails with a takedown attempt. Mercury shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pan as he avoids it easily. Mercury clinches. Mercury is looking to break free of the clinch but Pan has double underhooks. Pan crunches a lovely knee into Mercury's ribcage. Mercury drags the fight down to the ground.
Mercury looking for a sweep. Not yet Mercury, not yet. Mercury controls Pan momentarily but Pan frees himself. Mercury looking for a sweep. Not yet Mercury, not yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pan prevents Mercury from getting back to his feet. Pan wants to stand but Mercury has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Mercury seems keen to control Pan's posture. Mercury looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Mercury throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Freddie Mercury dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Pan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mercury, pushing him back against the cage. Pan lands a knee to the head.

Mercury is working for takedown but Pan is calmly controlling the position for now. Pan using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Pan throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mercury blocks it with crossed arms. Mercury is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Pan can't fight it off and eventually Mercury manages to take the fight to the floor. Pan looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mercury trying to control the position from guard on top but Pan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mercury lands a couple of digs. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mercury scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mercury wants to control from the top but Pan keeps moving. Mercury working some strikes from top position. Mercury looking to pass the guard. Mercury is fighting to break Pan's control of his arms but Pan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Pan keeping full guard, as Mercury tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mercury seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mercury trying to control the position from guard on top but Pan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mercury looking to sit in guard and control but Pan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Mercury working a defensive guard here.
Mercury has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mercury is pulling down on Pan's head. It's preventing any offense from Pan, at least for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that's the end of the fight! Freddie Mercury showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mercury, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
