Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shingo Wake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gancho Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shingo Wake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gancho Santos!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Santos has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wake uses from the top position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wake looking to sit in guard and control but Santos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Santos gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wake looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Santos misses the shot to the body.
Wake tries to clinch but Santos moves away
and Santos counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Santos stands up and beckons Wake to his feet.
Santos closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wake quickly recovers to half guard.

Wake is looking to control Santos's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wake avoid being mounted?

Wake wants to get back to full guard.
Wake has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Santos is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Santos fails to land the takedown.
Wake stalks Santos and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Santos's face. Santos staggers backwards, shaken.
Santos looks for a takedown but Wake sprawls well.
Santos is looking to clinch.
Santos throws a head kick that misses.
Wake looks to land a combination. Santos sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wake lands a jab-cross combination.
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch but Wake swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A combination from Wake does no damage.

Wake throws a right hand that Santos ducks under and follows up with a left that Santos also avoids with ease.
Wake tries to clinch but Santos moves out of range.
Santos has closed the distance and engaged Wake in a clinch.
Santos decides to pull guard.
Wake is looking to stand up but Santos won't let him.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Santos holds on and takes a little breather.
Santos looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Wake prevents Santos from getting back to his feet.
Santos is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wake being controlled here momentarily.

Wake trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Santos is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Wake frees his head nicely. Oh but Santos has switched to an armbar! Wake is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
