Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Cabbat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Wright! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Cabbat! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Wright misses. Wright swinging wildly here.
Wright throws a right hand that misses
and Cabbat counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A slow jab from Wright misses its intended target. Wright misses with a combination
and Cabbat counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cabbat. Cabbat thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cabbat throws a big right hand that misses. Cabbat trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Wright is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cabbat is controlling him. Cabbat trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Cabbat has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Cabbat thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cabbat prevents Wright from getting back to his feet. Cabbat working some strikes from top position. Wright knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cabbat on the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cabbat won't allow Wright to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabbat is looking to work some ground and pound but Wright has wrist control. Wright is looking to stand up but Cabbat isn't so interested in that idea. Cabbat with a flurry of punches that miss. Cabbat is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Wright pushes Cabbat off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Wright looks to land a combination but Cabbat avoids it well. Wright defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cabbat. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cabbat is defended easily by Wright. Wright throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cabbat counters with a single leg into guard. Wright didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cabbat loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cabbat won't allow Wright to get back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cabbat throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wright works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cabbat passes Wright's left leg - he's now in half guard. Wright tries to kick Cabbat off but Cabbat keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Cabbat is trying for a kimura here. Wright looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Cabbat wins by kimura!
