Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edzard Ling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chike Rusesabagina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ling comes to the ring accompanied by Gemüseeintopf. Rusesabagina has chosen Agatha by Francis Bebey as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Edzard Ling has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Edzard Ling! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chike Rusesabagina! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ling tries to bum rush Rusesabagina with a series of wild strikes but Rusesabagina uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rusesabagina fails with a takedown attempt. Ling misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ling fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Horrible takedown by Rusesabagina or perhaps it was just good defense by Ling which made him look bad. Rusesabagina has a takedown stuffed. Edzard Ling has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chike Rusesabagina. Rusesabagina is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ling. Rusesabagina looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ling tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Ling on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ling tries to get out of the position. Ling looks like he's trying to stand up.
Ling works his way to full guard. Good work. Ling looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rusesabagina is one step ahead there. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Ling uses the ropes to get back to his feet.
Ling lands a jab-cross combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ling closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Rusesabagina is rocked! Rusesabagina tries to close the distance and clinch but Ling swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rusesabagina is still on wobbly legs! Can Ling finish him? Rusesabagina looks gassed! A nice inside leg kick there by Ling. That's going to slow Rusesabagina down. Ling dances in with a quick combination. Rusesabagina is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Ling snaps Rusesabagina's head back. Rusesabagina stumbles backwards against the ropes. Ling steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Rusesabagina's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Rusesabagina just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Edzard Ling! Edzard Ling retains his super heavyweight title!
