Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roman Zagajev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Little Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Little Guy is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zagajev misses with a body shot.
Zagajev misses with a straight right.

Zagajev has Guy up against the ropes in a clinch.
Zagajev tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Guy just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Zagajev wants to break the clinch but can't.

Zagajev has Guy pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Zagajev pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Guy tumbling to the mat - Zagajev dives into Guy's guard.

Zagajev drops back looking for a leg! Guy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Guy manages to kick Zagajev off! Zagajev jumps back into Guy's guard.

Guy is looking for a sweep. Zagajev is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Guy is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Zagajev pulls his head out easily.
Zagajev wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guy keeps working.
Guy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Guy.

Guy had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Zagajev is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Guy Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Zagajev's back instead.
Guy has the hooks in. Zagajev is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Zagajev is pushing down on Guy's leg trying to pass to half guard. Guy is fighting to maintain full guard but Zagajev has managed to sneak the leg through.

Guy avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Zagajev goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Guy tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Zagajev wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Zagajev is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Guy has escaped the position, nice work there.

Zagajev thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Guy bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Guy is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Zagajev is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Zagajev has escaped and now he's on top!
Guy wants to stand up but Zagajev is controlling him.

Zagajev wants to control but Guy is keeping him busy.
Guy gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Guy has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Zagajev. Oh but Guy has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Zagajev goes limp - he's gone! Guy jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
