And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Silva!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva is looking to clinch but Swagger is avoiding it.

and Swagger counters with a nice body kick.
Silva moves to clinch but Swagger breaks away

and Swagger counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Swagger.
Swagger's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tommy Swagger.

and Swagger counters with a nice low kick that buckles Silva's knee momentarily.

Swagger lands with a short punch from the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tommy Swagger dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Swagger is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Silva can do to turn this around?
Swagger takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Swagger lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Swagger fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.

Swagger's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Swagger has a couple of punches blocked by Silva.

Swagger goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

A frustrated look appears on Silva's face as he tries to break the clinch.

A nice left hand lands by Swagger.

Swagger throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Swagger finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Swagger misses with a knee to the head.
Silva takes an elbow to the forehead.
Swagger scores with a shot to the side of Silva's head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Swagger creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Silva using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Swagger has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Swagger lands a big right hand that drops Silva! The killer instinct kicks in and Swagger finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Swagger!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tommy Swagger!
