Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Norman Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Jonson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bates comes to the cage accompanied by Hmmm... Interesting.... The crowd seem to be enjoying Jonson's choice of entrance music: Stronger. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Norman Bates! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carl Jonson! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jonson misses with a few strikes there.
Jonson misses with a combination
and Bates counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Bates showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jonson.
Bates swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jonson walks into a straight right hand from Bates.
It looks like Carl Jonson has been cut. Jonson tries to clinch up and Bates counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Sloppy strikes from Bates. Those never looked like landing. A cross from Bates lands. Jonson throws a nice looking combination but Bates bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jonson misses with a double jab.
Bates bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bates cracks a nice hook into Jonson's ribs. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bates looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bates avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bates shoots in looking for a takedown but Jonson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bates's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Bates waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jonson. Jonson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bates. Jonson misses with a double jab
and Jonson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jonson misses with a jab, cross combination.

A combination from Bates does no damage. Jonson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bates swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bates pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bates swats away the attempt to clinch by Jonson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jonson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bates counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jonson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Bates counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bates connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jonson. Jonson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Jonson is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bates cracks Jonson's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Jonson slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Bates can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Norman Bates!
