Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Sandy Jakh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank West! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! West dodges the punch combination from Jakh.
Jakh lands a big uppercut and West crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but West looks OK.
West is rocked!
It looks like Frank West has been cut. Jakh moves nicely into side control. West is still in real trouble! Can Jakh finish him? West wants to control but Jakh postures up. Jakh works to advance to full mount. West defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. West seems to have recovered his senses. Jakh avoids the attempt from West to control. Jakh working for a submission but West is keeping him at bay. West really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jakh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jakh get's back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circling - Jakh throws out the jab but it was never going to land. West shoots for a double leg takedown but Jakh sprawls well. He's pushed West's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sandy Jakh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. West looks gassed! Jakh throws a combination but it was largely blocked by West. West takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. West slips a straight right by Jakh. Jakh misses with a hook. West ducked under it nicely. Jakh ducks down and throws a hook to the body but West moves away. Jakh lands with an uppercut that bounces West off the ropes and back into rage. West staying out of range there. Nice sprawl there from Jakh as West shoots in. Jakh throws a hook but West avoids it easily. West goes for a high kick. It partially lands. West tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jakh swats him away and circles back towards the center. West tries to clinch up. West throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. West moves out of range of the strikes. Jakh keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Sandy Jakh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank West.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jakh throws a wild combination but nothing lands. West dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jakh. That did some damage! Jakh throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jakh connects with a body shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Jakh lands an uppercut out of nowhere! West falls backwards - clearly groggy! Jakh dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sandy Jakh!
