Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Matador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clark Kent has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jack Matador's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Matador!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clark Kent!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Kent.
Matador doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Kent lands the left hand.
Kent goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kent throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kent misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kent listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Matador shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kent tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Matador swivels and escapes.
Kent misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kent misses with a double jab.

Matador changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kent looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kent is trying to get back to his feet.
Matador cracks Kent with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Kent manages to get back to half guard.
Matador is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Matador is stalling here. Kent is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Matador seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kent has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kent wants to lay and pray for a moment but Matador keeps working.

Kent swings around for an armbar but Matador sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kent's guard.
Matador won't allow Kent to get back to his feet.

Kent keeping moving, preventing Matador from controlling successfully.
Matador throws a strike but Kent rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kent wants to control from the top but Matador keeps moving.

Kent stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matador swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kent tries to free his leg and advance position but Matador is retaining full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Matador is trying to control the position but Kent postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Matador avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Matador keeping moving, preventing Kent from controlling successfully.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kent scores with a head kick.
Matador avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kent avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kent throws a sloppy head kick

and Matador counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kent pushes Matador off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Matador looks to score with a jab to the body but Kent is just out of range.
Kent on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Matador wants to clinch up but Kent keeps it at a distance.

Kent defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Matador.
Kent throws a series of strikes that have Matador backpedaling.
Kent circles away from the clinch attempt.
Matador slips a jab and a cross from Kent.
Matador has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Matador fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kent throws a right hand that Matador ducks under and follows up with a left that Matador also avoids with ease.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Matador loads up on a big right hand but Kent slips the punch.
Kent throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Matador.
Matador on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kent scores with a three punch combo!
Matador throws a right and a left that both miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clark Kent dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Matador fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kent, pushing him back against the cage.

Matador gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Kent is wriggling around but Matador manages to pass to half guard.
Matador wants to take a breather but Kent is having none of it.
Kent pushes Matador off looking to stand but Matador dives back in and keeps control.
Kent avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Matador.
Matador thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kent's head.
Kent is looking to control Matador's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kent avoid being mounted?
Kent is looking to escape.

Matador throwing shots but Kent is blocking nicely.

Matador content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Kent manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Kent wants to slow Matador down by chopping away at his legs.
Matador moves forwards but Kent connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kent displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.


Matador is rocked!
Kent avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Oh Matador is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Matador avoids the head kick by Kent.
Matador tries to clinch but Kent is having none of it.
Matador seems to have got his legs back now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kent can't keep his opponent in guard - Matador advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Kent is trying to stand up here but Matador is controlling him well.

Matador thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Matador missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Matador works his way into full mount!
Matador lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Kent tries to reverse the position but Matador maintains control.
Matador landing punches.

Kent is trying desperately to improve position.

Kent somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Matador dives in and grabs Kent's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kent pushes down on Matador's head and hops out.
Matador takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kent uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Matador has time to react.
Kent looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kent throws a series of punches but Matador moves out of range.

Matador has managed to clinch.

Matador manages to pull guard.
Matador bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kent's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kent has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Matador makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Kent trying to keep a closed guard but Matador is proving a slippery customer.
Kent working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Matador.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Matador accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kent pushes Matador off and gets back to his feet.

Kent pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Matador will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

Matador is in close to Kent's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Kent looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Kent keeping moving, preventing Matador from controlling successfully.

Kent has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Matador off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Matador tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kent sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Matador somewhat.
Left hook, right uppercut from Kent.
Kent stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kent wants it to stay on the feet.

Kent misses with a head kick.
Kent takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Matador looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kent!
Matador thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Kent tries to lock up and control but Matador gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kent is bucking up trying to escape but Matador cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Matador showed his dominance in that final round.
