Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abdul Salsalani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Schnieder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abdul Salsalani looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Schnieder! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schnieder avoids the body shot from Salsalani.
Salsalani looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Schnieder shoots in and gets a takedown into Salsalani's guard. Schnieder wants to pass the guard but Salsalani is keeping the position. Schnieder is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Schnieder controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Salsalani avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Schnieder controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Nick Schnieder wasn't active enough on the ground. Schnieder wants to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Salsalani. No joy for Schnieder on that attempt. Schnieder closes the distance and clinches. Schnieder swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Salsalani really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Salsalani prevents a body shot from Schnieder.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Schnieder wants a takedown.
Abdul Salsalani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Schnieder. Salsalani is fighting off a takedown attempt but Schnieder is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Salsalani to the mat. Salsalani regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Schnieder accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Schnieder is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Schnieder advances position into side control! Schnieder slows the pace down. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nick Schnieder has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Schnieder. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Salsalani knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schnieder on the ground. Schnieder grinds an elbow into Salsalani's temple.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schnieder slows the pace down. Salsalani is looking for a sweep. Salsalani is letting Schnieder control him for a moment. It looks like Schnieder might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Schnieder has knee on belly and moves into mount. Schnieder content just to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Schnieder feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Schnieder stays in close to Salsalani's body and controls the position. Salsalani looking to hit a scissor sweep but Schnieder is one step ahead there. Schnieder slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Nick Schnieder. Schnieder closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Salsalani's guard. Schnieder passes easily into side control. Nice work. A lull in the action here. Salsalani tries to bench press Schnieder off him but Schnieder keeps the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schnieder takes a little break here. Salsalani wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Nick Schnieder. Schnieder tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Salsalani paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schnieder has a takedown stuffed. Schnieder ducks under a wild hook from Salsalani. Schnieder shoots in and drives through. Salsalani sprawls well. Schnieder shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Salsalani pinned against the cage. Salsalani gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Abdul Salsalani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Schnieder.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Salsalani fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Salsalani gets caught napping as Schnieder dives in and scores a takedown. Salsalani manages to retain guard. Schnieder slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Schnieder working the head and body with strikes. The referee asks Schnieder politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Schnieder prefers to stall for the moment though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Schnieder showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Schnieder shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Salsalani defends it nicely. Schnieder scores with a takedown into Salsalani's guard. Schnieder stands up and waves to Salsalani to follow him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Schnieder drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nick Schnieder was stalling too much, according to the referee. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Schnieder is defended easily by Salsalani. Schnieder rushes Salsalani and presses him up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Salsalani on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Schnieder tries for a takedown but Salsalani manages to get underhooks.
Abdul Salsalani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Schnieder. Schnieder tries to score a body lock takedown but Salsalani shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Schnieder is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Salsalani is defending well for now. Salsalani blocks an uppercut.

Schnieder has Salsalani pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Salsalani manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Salsalani blocks a body shot from Schnieder. Schnieder goes for a takedown attempt but Salsalani pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Salsalani throws a series of punches but Schnieder avoids them all with ease. Abdul Salsalani has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Salsalani misses with a looping left. Schnieder shoots in and gets a takedown into Salsalani's guard. Schnieder's corner is telling him to maintain position. Schnieder decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Salsalani gets caught flat footed, as Schnieder shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Schnieder passes Salsalani's left leg - he's now in half guard. Salsalani is trying to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Nick Schnieder comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Schnieder winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
