The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gat throws a lazy head kick and Sabu counters with a shoot takedown. Gat fights it but they end up in guard. Gat keeping full guard, as Sabu tries to pass. Sabu won't allow Gat to get back to his feet. Sabu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gat swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sabu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Sabu drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gat manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sabu has Gat in his guard. Gat stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Sabu throws up his legs and catches Gat in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Gat tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Sabu! That came out of nowhere!
