Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Headden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Headden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe has a takedown stuffed.

Doe feints and as Headden raises his hands in defense, Doe changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Doe bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Headden is breathing heavily.

Doe is working Headden over with some ground and pound from side control.
Headden tries to bench press Doe off him but Doe keeps the position.

Doe lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Headden down.

Doe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Headden's waist but Headden gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Doe off to one side.

Headden working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Doe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Doe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Doe wants to sweep here but Headden controlling him for the moment.

Doe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Headden is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Doe defends it well.

Headden is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That was a close round but I would say that Steve Headden will probably get the nod.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Headden throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Doe misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Doe tries to clinch but Headden is having none of it.

Doe has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Headden to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Doe is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Headden pulls down on the head and he's put Doe to sleep! This one is all over!
