Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Sabin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asi Taungava (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Asi Taungava!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabin forces Taungava back against the cage and clinches.
Sabin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sabin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sabin wants it to stay on the feet.
Michael Sabin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Taungava shoots in and bounces Sabin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Sabin keeping full guard, as Taungava tries to pass.
Taungava in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Taungava stands and throws Sabin 's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sabin wants to get back to his feet but Taungava drags him back down.

Sabin manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Taungava gets full guard.
Sabin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Sabin wants to control from the top but Taungava keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sabin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Taungava looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Taungava has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Sabin off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Taungava fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sabin avoids it really well and circles away.
Sabin has closed the distance and engaged Taungava in a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sabin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sabin tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Taungava counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Taungava looking to pass the guard.
Taungava stands and throws Sabin 's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Taungava trying to control the position but Sabin is working away.
Sabin is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Taungava is controlling him well.
Taungava cracks Sabin with a big right hand but Sabin just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Taungava scores with a couple of short elbows.
Taungava sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Sabin is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Sloppy strikes there by Taungava.
Taungava has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Sabin !

Sabin is bucking up trying to escape but Taungava cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
It looks like Michael Sabin has been cut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Taungava lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Sabin is rocked!
Taungava with a couple of short strikes.
Oh Sabin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sabin is breathing heavily.
A big strike lands for Taungava! That's really hurt Sabin and he's turned his back - Taungava keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Taungava jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
