The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doruletz tries to clinch but Sapp is having none of it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Doruletz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A clash of legs there as Sapp blocks the low kick.
Sapp digs a good hook to Doruletz's body.
Doruletz gets caught napping as Sapp dives in and scores a takedown. Doruletz manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sapp seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
