Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gilbert Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laurent Gardan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Prodigy - Breathe. Gardan has chosen AC/DC - If You Want Blood as his entrance music. Laurent Gardan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gilbert Aoki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Laurent Gardan!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardan cracks Aoki with an open hand slap.
Gardan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gardan feints and then cracks Aoki's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Aoki down.
Gardan connects with a leg kick. Aoki looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gardan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gardan misses with a wild body shot.
Aoki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gardan tries to avoid it but Aoki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gardan to the ground. Gardan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Aoki tries for a takedown but Gardan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gardan wants to slow Aoki down by chopping away at his legs.
Gardan lands with a kick to the temple. Aoki shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Gilbert Aoki has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gardan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Aoki shoots in and drives through. Gardan sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gilbert Aoki. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A left lands for Gardan.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aoki throws a head kick that misses.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gardan.
Gardan just misses with a punch to the body.
Gardan scores with a leg kick.
Aoki is breathing heavily.
Gardan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gardan connects with a body shot.
Aoki shoots in but Gardan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jab, jab by Gardan - just one landing.
Gardan lands a head kick. Aoki smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Whack! Gardan lands a heavy head kick that drops Aoki. The ref tackles Gardan to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Aoki was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Laurent Gardan!
