Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Flores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luciano Ratinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flores comes to the cage accompanied by can's touch me. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Flores! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luciano Ratinho! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flores closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Flores throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Flores is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ratinho knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Ratinho is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Flores wants to control but Ratinho is keeping him busy. Flores wants to stand but Ratinho is controlling his arm. Ratinho is looking for a sweep. Flores wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ratinho, who protects the arm well. Ratinho tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ratinho looks to move to half guard but instead Flores has passed into mount! Damn! Flores landing strikes from the mount. Ratinho keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ratinho is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Ratinho is squirming around, avoiding Flores's attempts to control the action. Flores is really struggling to control Ratinho but he's trying to hold on to the position. Ratinho sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Flores wants to stand up but Ratinho is controlling the position.
Flores could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Flores is breathing heavily. Flores trying to control from half guard but Ratinho is working away. Flores is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ratinho doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Flores. Ratinho is pressing down on Flores's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ratinho is on top in guard.
Ratinho is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Flores is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Flores has escaped and now he's on top!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ratinho bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Flores's guard. Ratinho drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ratinho jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ratinho drops back looking for a leg! Flores is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Flores manages to kick Ratinho off! Ratinho jumps back into Flores's guard. Ratinho thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Flores looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ratinho drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ratinho jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Flores might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Flores working a defensive guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ratinho stops Flores from standing up. Ratinho thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ratinho drops back looking for a leg! Flores is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Flores manages to kick Ratinho off! Ratinho jumps back into Flores's guard. Flores really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... Ratinho has gone for a leg lock! Flores slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ratinho's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Flores dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Flores shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ratinho as he avoids it easily. Ratinho misses the body punch and Flores counters with a nice uppercut. Ratinho throws a head kick but Flores moves out of range.
Flores wants to clinch but Ratinho slips to the side and Ratinho counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Flores is lucky that one didn't land flush. Flores moves in looking to clinch but Ratinho pushes him off. Nice takedown defense from Ratinho. No joy for Flores on that attempt. Flores scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ratinho is pressing down on Flores's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Flores has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Flores pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ratinho is keeping the position for now. Ratinho looking for a guillotine here but Flores defends easily.
Ratinho has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Flores can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flores avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Flores trying to control but Ratinho is working from the bottom. Ratinho manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Flores tries to lock up and control but Ratinho gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Flores is in all sorts of trouble here.
Ratinho has control of Flores's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Flores regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ratinho goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Flores turns into him and now he's in Ratinho's guard.
Flores won't allow Ratinho to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flores is stalling in the full guard. Ratinho pushes a forearm under Flores's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Flores is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
