Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dim Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Sinclair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir comes to the cage accompanied by Big Pimpin. Dim Mir has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Sinclair!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mir throws a right hand that Sinclair ducks under and follows up with a left that Sinclair also avoids with ease.
Sinclair fails with a takedown attempt.
A jab from Mir finds it's way through Sinclair's defenses.
Mir throws a nice looking combination but Sinclair bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mir lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sinclair backs up against the cage.
Sinclair throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mir's waist but Mir gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sinclair off to one side.
Mir shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sinclair eats them both and turns towards Mir to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
No joy there for Mir, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Mir throws a nice inside leg kick.

Sinclair misses with a takedown attempt - Mir sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Mir lands a leg kick that knocks Sinclair off balance momentarily.
Mir moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Sinclair avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Mir throws a lazy right hand but Sinclair sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Mir throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sinclair.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mir tries to bum rush Sinclair with a series of wild strikes but Sinclair uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mir fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sinclair.

Mir is looking to stand up but Sinclair isn't so interested in that idea.
Sinclair is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sinclair is defended easily by Mir.

and Sinclair counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sinclair stays in close to Mir's body and controls the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mir looks to land a combination but Sinclair avoids it well.

A close second round but Tony Sinclair will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Mir's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sinclair loads up on a big right hand but Mir slips the punch.
Mir stalks Sinclair and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sinclair's face. Sinclair staggers backwards, shaken.
Mir scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Mir will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mir throws a series of strikes that have Sinclair backpedaling.

Sinclair on the wrong end of a nice jab.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mir enables Sinclair to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mir manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mir is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mir on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mir tries to get out of the position.
Sinclair is pushing down on Mir's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mir is fighting to maintain full guard but Sinclair has managed to sneak the leg through.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Dim Mir will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Sinclair closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mir circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mir throws a hook to the side of Sinclair's head but Sinclair sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Mir lets loose with a powerful body kick. Sinclair will feel that in the morning.

Sinclair takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dim Mir.
I think Mir has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
